Exploring the suburbs

I had a planning meeting with Hayk for Woolway’s Cop17 Biodiversity presentation today, and then took bus #22 back to the city. It was not the most efficient route, but I never really mind, because it gives me an opportunity to explore and see uncharted territory. I am constantly amazed at how expansive and developed the Yerevan GTA is. It feels like there are far more than one million people in Yerevan.

I was glad to find that we rode past Yerevan Lake, a reservoir designed to serve as an oasis in the city. I was curious about it , but not curious enough to make it an outing. We arrived close to my destination about an hour later than expected, but I still had enough time to visit the art store, the Armenian Market for dried fruits, and then make it to language class, and miniature painting class after that! (I learned a few different ways to apply gold leaf to paintings, including a powdered form.) Now to plan ahead for a few days in Dilijan!
